2500 to 2600

2500~
Peace finally comes to humanity with the United Nations Council rising to the forefront and the signing of the Geneva Convention Resolution on Space Freedom and Colonization Act and the formation of the Solar Senate. This allows each nation on earth a position on the Solar Senate and a vote determined by overall citizen population. Forming of the Senate is lead by the Chinese Republic, and the British Empire, both nations who have an overwhelming population compared to the other nations on Earth.

2510~
Small groups of peoples in colonies or space stations vie for recognition as nations and a massive debate ensues in the Solar Senate as new member nations are formed and old nations lose some power to these Space Nations.

2520~
The first Stardrive is developed in China. Chaotic and unstable, this drive is more feared than acclaimed and many of the first vessels are lost to the star during is initial uses. A few groups of volunteers leave the system, and are lost, however for the most part, humanity sends probes.

2560~
The first successful launch and return of an Chinese probe creates much hype and soon a manned colonization mission is formed, aiming for Alpha Centauri and it's near-Earth type planet 'Splendor'. The craft, the Xing Xiu, is lost after only three hours. The Chinese government is blamed for this massive loss in life and enters a massive state of mourning.

2570~
Further attempts at Stardrive travel are banned by the Solar Senate who fear that further attempts at this system of travel will only result in loss of life.
